For The Getaway, Red Hot Chili Peppers stepped away from producer Rick Rubin for the first time since 1989's Mother's Milk. Brian Burton, better known as Danger Mouse, took over production and brought in strings, keyboards and a softer, more atmospheric sound. The eleventh studio album was released on 17 June 2016 through Warner Bros. Records, with Josh Klinghoffer on guitar alongside Anthony Kiedis, Flea and Chad Smith. Opening single 'Dark Necessities' became the band's thirteenth number one on the US Alternative Songs chart, more than any other artist. The album also features 'Go Robot', 'Sick Love' and 'Goodbye Angels'. This edition is a 2-LP on black vinyl.
