Red Hot Chili Peppers
Red Hot Chili Peppers started out in Los Angeles in 1983 around singer Anthony Kiedis and bassist Flea, with a mix of funk, punk and rock the band has never really let go of. The guitar seat largely defined the eras that followed: founding member Hillel Slovak died in 1988, after which John Frusciante stepped in and the band broke through with Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991). Frusciante left in 1992 and Dave Navarro took over for One Hot Minute (1995); after Frusciante returned in 1998 came the more melodic albums Californication, By the Way and Stadium Arcadium. Between 2009 and 2019 Josh Klinghoffer played on I'm With You and The Getaway. Since Frusciante's second return, the band with Kiedis, Flea and drummer Chad Smith made the two 2022 albums Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.
This collection brings together Red Hot Chili Peppers on vinyl, LP and CD: studio albums from across their career, coloured pressings and compilations.
