In April 1978 Scorpions played four concerts in Japan; the two nights at the Nakano Sun Plaza in Tokyo were recorded and originally appeared later that same year as the live double album Tokyo Tapes. It became the farewell of guitarist Uli Jon Roth, who left after the tour, and it captures the band at the point where their early, psychedelically tinged hard rock turned into the more compact work that followed. Alongside their own songs such as All Night Long, In Trance and Fly to the Rainbow, it includes covers of Hound Dog and Long Tall Sally, plus a reading of the Japanese standard Kojo No Tsuki. This edition is a remastered 180 gram 2-LP on yellow vinyl, in a gatefold sleeve.
