Taylor Swift started out as a teenage country singer from Nashville and became one of the biggest pop stars in the world. She moved from country (Fearless, Speak Now) to full pop (1989, reputation, Lover), made the quieter indie-folk albums folklore and evermore during the pandemic, returned to synth-pop with Midnights, and went on to release The Tortured Poets Department and The Life of a Showgirl. Since 2021 she has been re-recording her earlier albums as 'Taylor's Version' to regain control of her own masters. Her strength lies in the writing: narrative, detail-rich songs about love, fame and everything in between.
