The Bodyguard soundtrack paired Whitney Houston's voice with her first leading role in a feature film, opposite Kevin Costner. She recorded six songs herself, among them the opening "I Will Always Love You", her version of a Dolly Parton song that spent fourteen weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The album also carries contributions from Kenny G, Lisa Stansfield, and Joe Cocker, among others. It originally appeared in 1992 on Arista Records, won the Grammy for Album of the Year, and with more than 45 million copies sold became the best-selling film soundtrack of all time.
