Sabotage originally dates from 1975 and was Black Sabbath's sixth studio album. It was recorded while the band was caught up in drawn-out legal disputes with its management, and that tension carries through in the raw, aggressive sound. With its fast riffs, 'Symptom of the Universe' is regarded as an early forerunner of thrash metal, alongside the epic 'Megalomania', the opening 'Hole in the Sky' and the choir-driven 'Supertzar'. The classic line-up of Osbourne, Iommi, Butler and Ward plays on edge here.
