Ghost Stories was Coldplay's sixth studio album and first appeared in 2014. The album had a subdued, electronic sound and was written largely in the aftermath of Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow's separation. Thematically, the album centred on loss and acceptance. Magic and Midnight were singles from the album. A Sky Full of Stars, made in collaboration with Avicii, became one of the album's best-known songs. Ghost Stories reached number 1 in numerous countries.
