Parachutes was Coldplay's debut album and originally appeared in 2000, recorded with producer Ken Nelson. It sounds restrained and acoustic, leaving plenty of room for Chris Martin's falsetto. Yellow was the song that made the band known outside England, and Shiver, Trouble, and Don't Panic were released as singles as well. Parachutes topped the British album chart and won a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album in 2002.

This edition is an LP on transparent yellow vinyl, pressed for the album's twentieth anniversary.
