Desperado, originally released in 1973, is the concept album on which the Eagles set the story of the nineteenth-century Doolin-Dalton gang alongside the life of a touring band. They recorded in London again with Glyn Johns producing, and the sleeve shows the members posing as outlaws. Tequila Sunrise was the single; the title track missed the charts but grew into one of their best known songs through covers by Linda Ronstadt and others. The Doolin-Dalton theme returns across the album, right through to the closing reprise. This edition is an LP.
