Living in the Past gathered up the singles, b-sides and outtakes Jethro Tull had scattered across all sorts of releases between 1968 and 1971, among them 'Living in the Past', 'Sweet Dream', 'The Witch's Promise' and 'Teacher'. The second half comes from the stage: 'By Kind Permission Of' and 'Dharma for One' were recorded at Carnegie Hall in 1970. The collection reached number three on the American album chart and became many listeners' introduction to the early band. For this 2025 edition, titled Still Living in the Past, Steven Wilson remixed the material and the original running order of the double album was kept. This edition is a 2-LP.
