Neil Young and Crazy Horse recorded World Record in 2022 with Rick Rubin at Shangri-La studio in Malibu, largely live in the room and in a short stretch of time. The eleven songs are about the earth: memories of how it was, irritation at how it is going and the question of where it goes next, from the opening "Love Earth" to the near quarter-hour of "Chevrolet", where the band lets go on a single riff. Nils Lofgren plays second guitar here, alongside Billy Talbot and Ralph Molina. The album was released on 18 November 2022 on Reprise Records. This edition is a 2-LP on black vinyl.
