Doggerel is the eighth studio album by Pixies and came out on 30 September 2022 through BMG. Black Francis brought over forty songs to the sessions at Guilford Sound in Vermont, including material he had intended for a retro-Americana solo album; producer Tom Dalgety pulled part of it towards a punk and post-punk shape. The result holds Nomatterday, Vault of Heaven, Haunted House and the title track, played by Black Francis, Joey Santiago, David Lovering and bassist Paz Lenchantin. NME headlined its review 'still the alt-rock gold standard'.
