Leave Home originally came out in January 1977, eleven months after the debut, and keeps the same pace: fourteen songs, produced by Tony Bongiovi and Tommy Ramone. It holds "Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment", "Pinhead" with its "Gabba Gabba Hey" chant, and "Swallow My Pride", alongside the doo-wop lean of "Oh Oh I Love Her So" and the cover of "California Sun". "Carbona Not Glue" was pulled shortly after release when the maker of the cleaning fluid objected, and later pressings put "Sheena Is a Punk Rocker" or "Babysitter" in its place. The original running order with "Carbona Not Glue" only came back on the reissues.
