Hackney Diamonds is the studio album with which The Rolling Stones released their first set of new original material since A Bigger Bang (2005) in 2023. Andrew Watt handled production and pushed the band toward a tight, raw sound, with sessions at Henson Studios in Los Angeles and Electric Lady in New York, among others. Lead single 'Angry' set the tone, 'Sweet Sounds of Heaven' brought together Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder, and Paul McCartney played bass on 'Bite My Head Off'. Drummer Charlie Watts appears on two tracks, recorded before his death in 2021, and former bassist Bill Wyman made a one-off return. The album entered the UK albums chart at number one.
