For Songs of Surrender, U2 re-recorded forty songs from their own catalogue as acoustic and fully reworked versions. The album was produced by The Edge and originally appeared in 2023. Familiar songs such as One, With or Without You and Pride (In the Name of Love) took on a restrained, altered form. The focus fell on the songs themselves, stripped of their original production.
