The title track of School's Out became the Alice Cooper band's biggest hit: number one in the United Kingdom and number seven in the United States. Around it, the group and producer Bob Ezrin built a loosely connected story about school years and street gangs, with a nod to West Side Story in Gutter Cat vs. the Jets and an orchestral closer in Grande Finale. The album also holds songs such as Luney Tune, the jazzy Blue Turk with its trombone solo and Public Animal #9. It originally came out in 1972 and was packaged at the time in a sleeve shaped like a school desk, with a pair of paper knickers folded around the record.
This edition is a 3-LP on black vinyl, pressed on 180 gram as a deluxe edition.
