On 10 April 1996, Alice in Chains took the stage at the Majestic Theatre of the Brooklyn Academy of Music for MTV Unplugged, the band's first concert since early 1994. Despite Layne Staley's poor health and a bout of food poisoning for Jerry Cantrell, Nutshell, Down in a Hole, Rooster and Would? come across hushed and heavy at once, carried by the harmonies of Staley and Cantrell. The set also included a new song, Killer Is Me, and the acoustic version of Over Now was released as a single. The live album was originally released in 1996 on Columbia, debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 and was later certified double platinum in the US. It was the last headlining show Staley played with the band.

This edition is a 2LP, the 30th anniversary edition.
