On Bringing It All Back Home, Bob Dylan's fifth studio album, an electric band backs him for the first time. The layout is striking: the first side is electric, with "Subterranean Homesick Blues", "Maggie's Farm" and "She Belongs to Me", while the second side is mostly acoustic, with "Mr. Tambourine Man", "Gates of Eden", "It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)" and "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue". Dylan pairs the rock and roll and blues of side one with rapid, surreal lyrics, while the acoustic songs are longer and more reflective.

On its original release in 1965 the album reached number 6 on the US Billboard albums chart, Dylan's first top 10 entry.
