Bob Dylan, originally released in 1962, is the self-titled debut of the then 20-year-old singer. Cut in just a few sessions, it consists almost entirely of folk, blues and gospel traditionals — 'House of the Risin' Sun', 'Man of Constant Sorrow', 'Fixin' to Die' — with only two originals: the tribute 'Song to Woody' and 'Talkin' New York'. Dylan sings and plays everything himself, acoustically, already showing how completely he could bend existing material to his own phrasing.
