Thunderbolt, Saxon's twenty-second studio album, came out in 2018 on Silver Lining Music and was produced by Andy Sneap. The instrumental 'Olympus Rising' runs straight into the title track, after which 'Nosferatu (The Vampire's Waltz)', 'Sons of Odin' and 'A Wizard's Tale' take up the band's storytelling side. Johan Hegg of Amon Amarth guests on 'Predator'. The cover art is again by Paul Raymond Gregory, who helped shape Saxon's visual identity from the early eighties on.

This edition is a box set with the LP on red vinyl in a gatefold sleeve, the CD, a cassette and a bonus CD holding a live recording from the Battering Ram tour.
