Hejira Demos collects the demo recordings Joni Mitchell made in Hollywood in March 1976 for her album Hejira. These largely solo performances present the songs in a bare, intimate form, before they received their final arrangements in the studio. Seven of the nine demos would eventually appear on the released Hejira, one of the most acclaimed albums in Mitchell's catalogue.
