The Asylum Albums (1976-1980) collects the studio and live records Joni Mitchell made for Asylum Records in the second half of the seventies. The box brings together 'Hejira' (1976), 'Don Juan's Reckless Daughter' (1977), the Charles Mingus collaboration 'Mingus' (1979) and the live album 'Shadows and Light' (1980). This is the stretch in which she left folk almost entirely behind and moved fully into jazz. The albums are gathered here in remastered form.

This edition is a 6-LP box set on black vinyl.
