The Black Parade is the third studio album by My Chemical Romance, originally released in 2006 through Reprise Records. It is a concept album built around a dying character known only as The Patient, performed by the band in the guise of a fictional group. Under producer Rob Cavallo the sound moved towards theatrical rock opera, with marching rhythms, choral vocals, and the piano motif that opens Welcome to the Black Parade. That single became the band's first UK number one in October 2006, and the album entered at number 2 in both the US and the UK. Rolling Stone placed The Black Parade at number 361 on its 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list. This edition is a limited-edition 3-LP that pairs the album with Living With Ghosts, a set of demos and rough mixes from the same period.
