Four songs, sixteen minutes, and more than forty years brought to a close. The Cloud of Unknowing came out on 24 April 2026 through Nuclear Blast and was recorded in early 2025 at Criteria Studios in North Miami; it is the band's only recording with drummer Greyson Nekrutman. Opener All Souls Rising draws on Madison Smartt Bell's novel of the same name about the Haitian slave rebellion of the 1790s. Beyond the Dream leans on Derrick Green's clean vocals and gives Andreas Kisser room to solo, Sacred Books sets modern thrash against piano runs, and closer The Place deals with migration. This edition is an LP on oxblood vinyl with an etching on side B, and comes with a CD.
