For Tyger, Tangerine Dream set poems by William Blake to music. Singer Jocelyn B. Smith performs the texts of Tyger, London and Smile among others over the sequencers, samplers and guitars of Edgar Froese, Christopher Franke and Paul Haslinger, which makes this one of the few albums with vocals in their catalogue. It originally came out in 1987 and shows the more pop-oriented side of their 1980s work, with a production close to the synth pop of the day.
