Afro Cuban Bop: The Long Lost Bird Live Recordings gathers eighteen live recordings of Charlie Parker from the late 1940s and early 1950s. They were captured in rooms such as Carnegie Hall and Birdland in New York, The Jubilee in Los Angeles and the Portland Civic Auditorium. Alongside Parker are players including Dizzy Gillespie, Milt Jackson, Art Blakey, Red Rodney, Woody Herman and Stan Kenton. The performances had surfaced separately before; this Rockbeat Records release brought them together for the first time, with bebop standards such as 'A Night In Tunisia', 'Salt Peanuts' and 'Manteca'.

This release is a double LP on 180-gram black vinyl, pressed for Record Store Day 2023.
