Portrait is the third studio album by American jazz singer Samara Joy, released in 2024 on Verve Records. Joy won the Grammy for Best New Artist in 2023. The album was recorded at the Van Gelder Studio in New Jersey, the studio where countless classic jazz albums were captured. Joy recorded it with her regular eight-piece touring band and produced it together with trumpeter Brian Lynch. The repertoire consists of jazz standards and material from the Great American Songbook, supplemented with her own contributions and new arrangements. The album won a Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album.
