Under the Midnight Sun is The Cult's eleventh studio album, released in October 2022 through Black Hill Records. Tom Dalgety produced the eight songs, which Astbury and Duffy wrote once their touring schedule came to a halt. The recordings sit between the heavy guitars of their eighties work and the slower, more atmospheric side of the band, with "A Cut Inside", "Give Me Mercy" and the title track at their centre.
