Electric Peace places two versions of the same album side by side. Peace was the first recording, made in 1986 with producer Steve Brown and left unreleased at the time. Electric is the version Rick Rubin re-recorded in New York, which appeared in 1987. The comparison shows how much changed: where Peace still leans on the reverb-heavy guitar sound of Love, Electric is dry and tight. Alongside familiar songs such as "Love Removal Machine" and "Wild Flower", the Peace side carries material that never made it onto Electric, including "Conquistador", "Zap City" and "Love Trooper". This pairing was released in 2013 through Beggars Arkive.
