RökFlöte was released in 2023 through InsideOutMusic and deals with the gods and figures of Old Norse mythology, from Odin and Thor to Loki. Ian Anderson started out writing it as an instrumental flute suite and only added lyrics later, which you can hear in the long flute passages of 'Ginnungagap' and 'Hammer on Hammer'. The title plays on the Swedish Rök runestone and the English phrase rock flute. The album was recorded by the same group that had finished The Zealot Gene a year earlier: Anderson, David Goodier, John O'Hara, Scott Hammond and guitarist Joe Parrish-James. This edition is a deluxe box with two CDs and a Blu-ray, including an artbook, demos and surround mixes.
