On 7 July 1983 Miles Davis played the Théâtre St-Denis during the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal. The band was one of his strongest of the 1980s: John Scofield on guitar, Bill Evans on saxophone, flute and electric piano, Darryl Jones on bass, Al Foster on drums and Mino Cinelu on percussion. The set leans heavily on Star People, released that same year, rounded out with Marcus Miller's "Hopscotch" and the by then standing "Jean-Pierre". The concert sat in the archive for almost forty years and came out in 2022. This edition is a 2-LP, pressed for Record Store Day.
