King's Disease II is the second part of the run Nas made with producer Hit-Boy from 2020 onwards, following the first King's Disease, which won a Grammy for Best Rap Album in 2021. Hit-Boy produced the album on his own and sets Nas against tight drums and soul samples. The guest list is wide: Lauryn Hill on "Nobody", Eminem and EPMD on "EPMD 2", Charlie Wilson on "No Phony Love", plus A Boogie wit da Hoodie, YG, and Blxst. Nas looks back at his own career and at nineties rap, not least on "Death Row East" about the East Coast and West Coast tensions of that era. This edition is a 2-LP on red and tangerine vinyl, with an obi strip.
