About this CD
Lonesome Crow is the debut album by German rock band Scorpions, originally released in 1972 on the German label Brain. The line-up at the time consisted of singer Klaus Meine, brothers Rudolf and Michael Schenker, bassist Lothar Heimberg and drummer Wolfgang Dziony; a young Michael Schenker made his recording debut here as lead guitarist. The album sounds darker and more psychedelic than the hard rock sound the band later became world-famous for, closing with the thirteen-minute title track. To mark the band's 60th anniversary, a completely new mix was released in 2026, created by Grammy winner Hans-Martin Buff from the original master tapes from producer Conny Plank's archive. This edition is a CD.
