Solid Ball of Rock, Saxon's tenth studio album, was recorded in 1990 at Karo Studios in Hamburg and originally released in January 1991. Producer Kalle Trapp steered the band back to a harder, more direct sound after the more radio-minded albums of the late eighties. Bassist Nibbs Carter left his mark on it: he wrote five of the eleven songs and co-wrote three more. Alongside the title track and 'Requiem (We Will Remember)', written for fallen soldiers, the album carries a cover of Depeche Mode's 'I Just Can't Get Enough'.

This edition is an LP on gold 180-gram vinyl, limited to 1,000 copies.
