Springtime in New York: The Bootleg Series Vol. 16 (1980–1985) shines a light on an often underrated period in Bob Dylan's career, spanning the Shot of Love, Infidels and Empire Burlesque albums. Released in 2021, the collection gathers outtakes, alternate takes and rehearsals, including an early version of 'Jokerman' and the long-treasured 'Blind Willie McTell', which Dylan left unreleased at the time. It shows just how strong the material was that stayed on the shelf during these years.
