Imagine (Raw Studio Mixes) collects the unprocessed studio versions of John Lennon's 1971 album, captured while he played live with his backing band in the middle of Ascot Sound Studios, the studio at his home in Tittenhurst. The mixes are stripped of reverb, tape delay, and other effects, which pushes the vocal, the acoustics of the room, and the playing of George Harrison, Klaus Voormann, and Nicky Hopkins to the front. The ten takes follow the running order of the original album and appeared on vinyl for the first time for Record Store Day 2019, in an edition of 5,500 copies.
